The Ganga Aarti on the first evening broke something open in me. I didn't expect to cry but the beauty of it — the fire, the water, the chanting — was overwhelming in the best way.

I was terrified of the rafting. I did it anyway. And that is the whole story of my Rishikesh retreat — WanderHer gently pushed me to be braver than I thought I was.

Yoga on the ghats at sunrise is something I will remember for the rest of my life. The mist, the sound of the river, the mountains behind. I've never felt so small and so alive at once.
